PlacedWhere starts from a familiar annoyance. The thing is not gone. You own it, and you put it somewhere sensible. You still cannot say which shelf, which bin, or which building.

The other way this fails is a list that becomes its own job. If maintaining the inventory is more work than finding the item yourself, the product has failed.

So the aim is a direct answer, with as little upkeep as possible. Places can be as simple or as nested as they really are. Bins carry what is inside them. Suggestions never quietly replace a place you already confirmed.
